Chin Implant

IN WETHERSFIELD, CT

A chin implant, also known as genioplasty, is a cosmetic surgical procedure that involves the placement of an implant to enhance the size and shape of the chin. It is commonly performed to improve facial harmony and balance, particularly for individuals with a recessed or underdeveloped chin.

Benefits of Chin Implants:

  • A well-proportioned chin can enhance the overall balance and symmetry of the face.
  • Chin implants can contribute to a more defined and attractive jawline.
  • For individuals with facial asymmetry, a chin implant can help create a more harmonious appearance.

Candidates for Chin Implants

  • Have a recessed or underdeveloped chin.
  • Desire improved facial harmony.

The Procedure

The chin implant can be done right in our office. You can achieve your cosmetic goals without the need to go under anesthesia. The procedure is performed in a relaxed and controlled environment, ensuring a stress-free experience. To ensure your comfort, a local anesthesia is administered. You may also receive a mild sedative to help you relax during the procedure. If the chin implant is done as a stand-alone procedure, the incision is usually inside the mouth. If the chin implant is done in conjunction with one of our deep neck sculpting procedures then the incision would be right under the chin.
