The most common fillers used for tear trough treatment are hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body and is well-tolerated by most
individuals. HA fillers are preferred for tear trough treatment due to their ability to addvolume, hydrate the skin, and provide a natural-looking result.
The results of tear trough filler injections are typically noticeable immediately after the procedure. Patients often see an improvement in the under-eye area, with reduced hollows and a more refreshed appearance right away. The hyaluronic acid filler adds volume to the treated area, addressing concerns such as dark circles or a tired look.
The most common risks after tear trough filler are bruising and swelling. In very rare circumstance an individual may experience an allergic reaction, tyndall effect, or necrosis.
