Erin will discuss techniques, downtime, costs, and address any questions. Scheduling your phone consultation with Erin is convenient through our online platform or by calling our main office line. Together you will decide if we feel like a good fit, and assuming we do, she will schedule an in-person consultation with Dr. Karter.

On the day of the consultation, Erin will escort you to Dr. Karter's office. Dr. Karter will initiate an in-depth discussion on facial anatomy, surgical techniques, and post-operative experiences. Dr. Karter's candid approach aims to provide a profound understanding of the proposed procedure. Together we will craft the perfect solutions for you.

Following the consultation, you will receive estimates and explore potential surgical dates (it is recommended to bring your calendar with you to ensure we have access to your availability). A 20% fully refundable deposit secures your preferred date, with flexible financial options available. We guide you through necessary documentation and provide ongoing support, ensuring you are well-prepared for the surgical process.Once a surgery is booked you will be given Erin’s cell phone number to make sure you have access to her outside of our typical business hours. She will help to coordinate any documentation, guide you emotionally, and assist you with any concerns as the surgery approaches. We want to make sure you have our support throughout your surgical journey (many people have questions the day before surgery or the evening after).

Approximately two weeks before surgery, a pre-operative appointment is scheduled. This thorough walkthrough covers preparations for surgery, including do's and don'ts leading up to and following the procedure. You'll receive a curated post-care kit, equipped to facilitate a smooth and comfortable recovery, along with insights from past patient experiences.

Arriving at the specified surgical center an hour prior to your scheduled surgery, you'll adhere to pre-surgery instructions. An adult must accompany you to and from the surgery center, with an overnight companion required at home. Dr. Karter personally contacts you on the evening of surgery to ensure your well-being. Post-surgery, Erin remains accessible for any questions or concerns.

Subsequent visits include post-operative appointments at 1 week, 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. Dr. Karter monitors your healing process and provides necessary care instructions. Depending on the surgery performed, complimentary CO2 laser treatments for scarring are offered at the 6-week and 3-month marks, enhancing the aesthetic healing of scars.
